Logistics and Transport Traineeship

Damien Cole Group is offering Traineeships in Logistics and Transport.

A young person who completes this course will gain:

• Medium Rigid
• Heavy Rigid
• Heavy Combination
• Multi Combination

Road transport licences.

This will enable them to be licenced, qualified and experienced to drive up to all levels of transport vehicles in Australia, from small delivery to road trains.

Our Trainees will be supervised and trained on the job, by a variety of experienced drivers under the control of our Transport Manager.

Damien Cole Group is an accredited Transport Company and some theory and practical training will be conducted at the West Australian Road Transport Association Campus in Cohn Street, Carlisle, W.A.R.T.A is a nationally accredited Training Organisation.

We will offer 4 years training under contract, consisting of on the job and theory training, similar to a Trade Apprenticeship. Our Trainees will be paid according to our own internal Apprenticeship rates.

Our young people will become professional and experienced Transport Operators, starting at the bottom with a structured practical and theoretical learning course over the 4 years.

The ideal entry age is 19 or 20 years of age, given the statutory age requirements of licence application in W.A.

Traditionally, Transport Operators have been unskilled people who have learnt 'on the job' and have not been formally trained. Today's professional Transport Operator, is required to have a whole raft of skills, relating to the increasing regulation of the transport industry.

To successfully complete this course allows a young person to become a Professional Driver or Transport Administrator in the Logistics and Transport Industry.
