INFORMATION FOR

APPRENTICESHIP PLANT MECHANIC (HEAVY DUTY TRACTORS)
APPRENTICESHIP PLANT MECHANIC (TRANSPORT TRUCKS)
APPRENTICESHIP TRADESMAN FABRICATION (BOILERMAKER)

A heavy duty plant mechanic is trained (generally) in either the repair of trucks or heavy duty construction equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, excavators, etc.

A heavy duty transport mechanic is trained (generally) in the repair of trucks or trailers etc.

The apprentice in this case is required to attend the Swan TAFE as required.

At all other times the apprentice will work in our South Guildford workshop and learn "on the job".

Since we operate relatively new equipment our apprentices are not predominantly exposed to major internal component rebuilding of equipment. Our apprentices however are trained in the maintenance, care and repair of machines for the extent of their "first life".

Because we are a smaller training operation our apprentices cannot avoid a thorough training in work attitudes, work ethic, customer service, responsibility and accountability.

The work can be hard, dirty and at times repetitive and always constant. However we work in the cleanest possible environment, probably the cleanest in this industry. We also work with the best tools and equipment and always as a team.

We prefer those have successfully completed pre-apprenticeship courses.
